Starting December 10, El Monte Community Credit Union will be launching a new Fraud Alert Notification System in partnership with Falcon Fraud Manager. This enhanced system helps protect your debit and credit cards by notifying you right away if potential fraud is detected.
How It Works
Beginning December 10, if suspicious activity occurs, you’ll receive an alert by text message, email, or phone call — allowing you to quickly confirm whether the transaction is legitimate or report possible fraud.
Here’s how you’ll receive alerts:
- Text Messages (SMS): Sent from short code 48704
- Emails: Sent from

- Live Fraud Calls: Always from (888) 241-2440
You may receive a call from a live agent or an automated system, depending on the situation.
Important Security Reminder
To keep your information safe, please remember that El Monte Community Credit Union will never ask for:
- Your full Social Security Number
- Your full account number
- Passwords or online banking credentials
- One-time passcodes (OTPs)
If you receive any message or call requesting this information, do not respond — contact us directly instead.
